Author Visits
My goal of is to spread my love of geography and knowledge of our beautiful world to the next generation. Therefore, a big part of what I do is making geography books, and the other big part is talking to children about it. These books are designed for elementary school children, and so I am open to making author visits and helping students learn about geography through fun activities.

Stories
First, I tell students a big reason as to why I love geography - stories. There are lots of cool stories around the world, and I tell a few of them.

Discovering Our Heritage
Next, I ask students where their families are from. My family is from India, but when I hear students' answers, it is amazing! I have heard children say their families are anywhere from Venezuela to the Philippines!
Free of Charge!
I do not charge any money for author visits, unless the cost to arrive at a school is sizeable, such as if an airplane flight is necessary.

Fun Quizzes
Students know more than we think they do. And so, I ask a few simple geography questions to jog their geography minds. Then not only do students relate to geography, but they learn some too!

Materials
No materials are necessary for an author visit. If your school is open to distributing book order forms, I will provide the order form template for the school to print and provide to the students at the end of the author visit.
